The monthly update of the claimant count and Jobcentre vacancies data series took place at 09:30 on 11 August 2010 with the release of new data for July 2010. The full list of updates is given below.

Jobseeker's Allowance Claimant Count

Change to Rates: The resident population figures (denominators) used in the calculation of claimant count rates have changed from a working-age basis (16-59f/64m) to an aged 16-64 basis. This change will not affect the count of claimants but the percentage rate figures will change as a result of this. The change has been retrospectively applied to all dates, so rate figures you may have previously downloaded should be updated with the new 16-64 rates available from Nomis.
