Underemployment in the Labour Market?

Since 2008 there has been an increase in the number of people working part-time. An increasing number of these are people who are working part-time but would like a full time job. This session will look in more detail at the characteristics of this group and others who could be considered "under-employed" (e.g. would like to work more hours, working in a job that does not require their level of qualification).

Confirmed speakers are:

  • Richard Excel (TUC)
  • Chris Cousins (DWP)

Further speaker to be confirmed.

Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no charge. If you would like to attend please send your details to robyn.hobbs@ons.gsi.gov.uk to reserve a place. For further information, please contact David Freeman (david.freeman@ons.gsi.gov.uk).
