Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings Seminar

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) would like to invite you to a short labour market seminar to be held at the Church House Conference Centre, London (directions) on Thursday 22nd November from 10.00am until 12.30pm.

The seminar will cover the following:

  • Launch of the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings results for 2012, including estimates of those below the National Minimum Wage and the gender pay gap
  • A look underneath the main earnings headline estimates showing some key changes over the past 25 years
  • The challenges of comparing public and private sector pay, including some new work from ONS.

Attendees will have the chance to contribute in each of the sessions and there will be an opportunity to question the presenters and discuss the findings at the end of the seminar.

The seminar will be chaired by Ian Cope, the interim Director of Analysis and Dissemination at the ONS. The event is free of charge.
