DWP Benefits - change to release frequency

The DWP benefit datasets will not be updated on 14 November 2012 as previously scheduled.

DWP have temporarily changed the frequency with which they will release their benefit claimant datasets. Until further notice these will only be published on a six monthly basis instead of the previous quarterly basis.

Consequently, the next update will be in February 2013 when the August 2012 data will be released. After that, the next anticipated release will be in August 2013, when February 2013 data will be released. DWP have no plans to make data for May or November periods available at any time.

This change is being made to allow resources to focus on the preparation of a new, improved dissemination tool and the development of new series for the Personal Independence Payment and Universal Credit.

This change does not affect the claimant count datasets produced by ONS which will continue to be updated to the published timetable.
