- The Claimant Count - the stock of Universal Credit and Job Seekers Allowance claimants broken down by sex, age and type of benefit being claimed. Claimant count proportions are available but not when the figures are not broken down by age.

Jobseeker's Allowance by age and duration with proportions (Jan 1992 to Jun 2017)
- A monthly count of Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) claimants broken down by age and duration of claim together with age based proportions. Totals exclude non-computerised clerical claims (approx. 1%). Available for Local Authorities.

benefit claimants - working age client group (Aug 1999 to Nov 2016)
- Use this data set to get information on the number of working-age people who are claiming one or more key DWP benefits and to learn about the combination of benefits they are claiming. If you want information about the number of people claiming a single benefit such as incapacity benefit, use the separate single benefit data set. This data set is based on all claims (i.e. 100% processing of records) so is not subject to sampling error.

- A count of people who are claiming DWP working-age benefits. Use to analyse the combination of benefits people are claiming (for numbers claiming a particular benefit use the individual benefit dataset instead). Small areas (ward / SOA) only.

- The midyear (30 June) estimates of population are based on results from the latest Census of Population with allowance for under-enumeration. Available at Local Authority level and above.
