Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Geography Update

The LEP geography was updated on 4 November 2014:

  • ONS Geography has updated the National Statistics definition of LEPs to reflect the expansion of Sheffield City Region to include Derbyshire Dales.

04 Nov 2014 Derbyshire Dales added to Sheffield City Region LEP (is already a member of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire LEP)
24 Apr 2012 Dacorum has been removed from South East Midlands LEP
Epsom and Ewell has joined Coast to Capital LEP
18 Jan 2012 New Buckinghamshire Thames Valley LEP added. Covers the LAs of: South Buckinghamshire, Chiltern, Wycombe, Aylesbury Vale
03 Oct 2011 New Northamptonshire LEP added. Covers the entire county of Northamptonshire, whose districts are Corby, Daventry, East Northants, Kettering, Northampton, South Northants and Wellingborough.

North Lincolnshire joins Lincolnshire LEP (is already member of Humberside LEP)
28 Jul 2011 New Swindon & Wiltshire LEP added. Covers the LAs of Swindon and Wiltshire.
07 Jul 2011 New Dorset LEP added. Covers the LAs in Dorset plus Bournemouth and Poole. York and North Yorkshire LEP coverage extended to include East Riding.
13 Jun 2011 New Humber LEP added covering North Lincolnshire, Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire.

North East Lincolnshire also joins Lincolnshire LEP (is already member of Humberside LEP).
24 May 2011 Birmingham and Sheffield LEPs coverage extended. Bolsover joined Sheffield and Redditch. Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest have joined Birmingham.
18 May 2011 New Gloucestershire LEP added. Covers all six councils in Gloucestershire: Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury.
18 Apr 2011 New Lancashire LEP added. Covers the LAs in the Lancashire County plus Blackpool UA and Blackburn UA.
