Regional Workforce Jobs - new Dec 2009 data
New December 2009 data has been added to the regional workforce jobs (WFJ) datasets:
- employee job estimates by industry - unadjusted
- employee job estimates - seasonally adjusted
- estimates of workforce in employment
Note: Estimates from these datasets are only available at regional and national level.
WFJ is a quarterly measure of the number of jobs in the United Kingdom and is the preferred measure of the change in jobs by industry at regional and national level. It is the sum of:
- employee jobs measured primarily by employer surveys,
- self-employment jobs from the Labour Force Survey (LFS), and
- government-supported trainees and Her Majesty’s Forces from administrative sources.
