Residence-based denominators updated

The resident population figures used to calculate rates with claimant count and DWP benefits datasets (denominators) have been updated. This may result in revisions to claimant count and DWP benefit rates you have previously downloaded from Nomis.

(Westminster) parliamentary constituencies 2010: New 2010 denominators and revised 2008, 2009. For constituencies in Northern Ireland the denominators have been revised from 2004 to 2009. These Northern Ireland revisions have been caused by improved geographic mapping information that better reflects the parliamentary constituency boundary changes introduced for the 2010 General Election

Scottish parliamentary constituencies 2011 revision: new 2010 denominators.

Other areas including Local authorities,and regions : No new or revised population figures so rates will remain unchanged.
