Jobcentre District

Jobcentre Plus (JCP) have amended the geographical definitions of two of their districts in the North West region. Halton Local Authority, formerly part of the Greater Manchester Central and Cheshire JCP District, has been reallocated to the Merseyside JCP District. This change was implemented on Nomis on the 7 July 2011.

Prior to this change, from the launch of the new districts in April 2011, data for Halton was included in the Greater Manchester Central and Cheshire JCP District. Any data that was taken from Nomis between the launch of the new districts and the July update would not have included Halton in Merseyside.

This change affects all periods of data extracted from Nomis. Therefore any data downloaded from Nomis after this update will include Halton as part of the Merseyside district for all periods, including April to July 2011.
