Update to publication date

Today, the Office for National Statistics announced a delay to the publication of the latest Population estimates by output areas, electoral, health and other geographies, England and Wales: mid-2023 and mid-2024, revised mid-2022. The revised release date is 7 November 2025.

The postponement is due to a processing error. The processing of prison population data for 2021 used a raw dataset based on an outdated specification of which prisoners would be resident in prison for 12 months or more.
