New mid-2023 & mid-2024, revised mid-2022

The small area population estimates dataset was updated on 7 November 2025 with new estimates for mid-2023 and mid-2024 and revised estimates for mid-2022.

The revised mid-2022 estimates are coherent with the revised local authority population estimates for mid-2022, published in July 2025, and utilise updated Personal Demographics Service data and improvements to data on the population in prisons across England and Wales.
