MF02UK - Origin and destination of international migrants (expanded country of origin)

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of the usual resident population of the UK who were living outside the UK one year before the Census. The data classifies people currently resident in each local authority or higher area in the UK by the country in which they were resident one year before the Census. The country classification used is an expanded classification providing more detail in the breakdown of the countries of origin. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.

MM01CUK_ALL - Origin and destination of migrants by age (broad grouped) by sex

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of the usual resident population of the UK who were living at a different address one year ago. The data classifies people currently resident in each local authority or higher area in the UK by age and by sex and shows which local authority or higher area in the UK they were resident in one year before the Census. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011. People resident outside of the UK one year before the census are counted in the category 'Outside UK'.

The data shows which local authority or higher area in England and Wales people have and live part-time at a second address used for work, and which district or higher area their workplace is located. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011. A work related second address is the residence at which people reside during the working week or other relevant working period in which they are not resident at their permanent or family home. In this table, people with second addresses that are outside of the UK are counted in the category 'Outside UK'.

The data shows which local authority or higher area in England and Wales people who have a second address used for work usually reside, and which district or higher area their workplace is located. RF04AEW - Location of where people live when working and place of work

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of the usual resident population of England and Wales who are aged 16 and over and in employment the week before the Census. The data shows which local authority or higher area in England and Wales people live while working, and which district or higher area their workplace is located. The place at which people live while working might be a work-related second address, or their usual residence if they have no work-related second address. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011. A work related second address is the residence at which people reside during the working week or other relevant working period in which they are not resident at their permanent or family home.

RF05EW - Dependent children : location of usual residence and second address

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of dependent children in England and Wales that have a second address which is another parent or guardian's address. The data shows which local authority or higher area in England and Wales the dependent children are usually resident and the district of the address in which the the parent or guardian is usually resident. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of the usual residents of the UK who are aged 16 and over and who were living at a different address one year before the Census that was a student term-time/boarding school address. The data classifies people currently resident in each local authority by age, sex and by student status, and shows the movement between their local authority of residence one year ago and their current area of residence. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.

WF01BEW - Location of usual residence and place of work (OA level)

This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates of the usual residents of the England and Wales aged 16 and over in employment the week before the census. The data classifies people currently resident in each output area, or higher area, and shows the movement between their area of residence and workplace output or higher area. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.

This dataset is very complex geographically and looking at flows between larger areas (local authorities, regions and countries) will be relatively very slow. It is one of two datasets which break down the data by census output areas but if all you are interested in is areas such as middle layer super output areas, local authorities and larger areas, it will be far simpler and quicker to use dataset WU01EW.

There is a further limitation in that the workplace data for countries only includes Scotland and Northern Ireland because the data is not broken down any further than this outside England and Wales.

The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.
